Psycho-educational assessments

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a qualified psychologist, to understand an individual’s cognitive abilities, academic skills, and socio-emotional functioning. This assessment involves a combination of standardised tests, interviews, observations, and review of educational and medical records to gather information about the individual’s strengths and areas of difficulty. The assessment aims to identify learning disabilities, developmental delays, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, giftedness, and other factors that may impact learning and academic performance. The results of the assessment provide valuable insights and recommendations to support the individual’s educational needs, inform intervention planning, and facilitate appropriate accommodations or services in educational settings.
